Greater Mercer TMA (GMTMA) strongly advises commuters to exercise caution while on the road. The roads are wet, slippery and even flooded in some areas and may be highly unsafe for driving. Just one foot of flowing water is enough to sweep vehicles off the road, including SUVs and Trucks.
We will post flood updates on this blog, and will twit about it as frequently as we can. Keep checking this post for latest updates on flood conditions in New Jersey.

By 820 pm EDT many locations in northern New Jersey had already received a half inch to an inch of rain. Additional heavy rain is building up from the south. As a result, flooding is likely tonight along small streams and in areas of poor drainage.
A flood warning means that flooding is imminent. If you live in a location that is prone to flooding…remain alert for the possibility of rising water levels.
Precautionary/preparedness actions:
Additional rainfall amounts of one to one and a half inches are possible in the warned area. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
